About Us
David’s Cradle is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to transforming donated wedding gowns, prom dresses, and formal attire into burial gowns for preemies to full-term babies born asleep. Each Angel Gown is lovingly crafted and gifted at no cost to bereaved families, allowing them to dress their precious child with dignity during an unimaginable time of loss.

Our mission is to show compassion and love to families grieving the loss of a baby. Established in 2012 in memory of David George Moore, who tragically passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) at six months old, David’s Cradle began with a donated family heirloom wedding gown from 1950. This first donation, given by Patti Browne's mother, inspired the name "David’s Cradle."

In November 2018, we expanded our mission by acquiring Angel Gowns for Kern County following the passing of Susan Linder, leading to the name "David’s Cradle, Angel Gowns for Kern County." Since then, we have continued to support families by working with hospitals, funeral homes, and private individuals.
Partnering with Tehachapi First Baptist Church, David’s Cradle extends the love and compassion of the community to those who are hurting. We are dedicated to easing the pain of parents dealing with the loss of a baby, providing comfort and assistance during their difficult times.
